1. Glass Spill*

  •  Number of players: 2 or more
  •  You need: wine glass, cups, water

Start the game with an empty wine glass. Each player will have a cup full of water, and they will take turns filling the glass with as much water as they want. The challenge is to fill the glass without letting it overflow. The player who causes the glass to overflow loses. It may sound simple, but the fun comes from seeing how much or how little each player can pour into the glass without going overboard! As a penalty for losing, the loser can take a shot or any other punishment you can think of!

2. Kiss the Poster

  •  Number of players: 2 or more
  •  You need: poster, blindfold, lipstick

Consider this game an adult version of ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey.’ Hang a poster of an attractive man or woman on the wall. Each player puts on a blindfold and applies lipstick. They must then try to kiss the person on the poster’s lips. It’s amusing to see where the kisses end up!

3. Spin, Sit & Fit

  •  Number of players: 3 or more
  •  You need: one large cardboard box per player, music

Each player will spin to the music while carrying a large cardboard box. The host will stop the music at any given time; when the music stops, every player must quickly sit inside their box. The player who is the last to sit loses and is out of the game. The remaining players continue to play rounds until there is only one winner. It’s a fun twist on ‘musical chairs.’

4. Back to Back

  •  Number of players: 3 or more, odd number
  •  You need: Music

Ask all your guests to stand up and dance to some fun music of your choice. Stop the music at a random time; at that point, each player must quickly find a partner to stand back to back with. The player left without a partner is out of the game. The last pair remaining wins.

5. Blow the Cups

  •  Number of players: 2 or more
  •  You need: 5 plastic cups, balloons, timer

On a sturdy table, place five plastic cups upside down. Each player will start with a deflated balloon. When the timer starts, players must inflate their balloon and use it to knock the plastic cups off the table. The player who does it the fastest wins!

6. Potato Race

  •  Number of players: 2 or more, even number
  •  You need: 5 potatoes, 2 buckets

A game that sounds easy enough but can be quite a challenge! Two players stand about 15 feet away from a bucket each. Each player has five potatoes next to them. Once the game starts, players must place one potato between their knees, walk or hop to the bucket, drop the potato in, and then return to grab the next one. The first player to fill the bucket with all five potatoes wins.

7. sHot Potato*

  •  Number of players: 2 or more
  •  You need: alcohol bottle of choice, music

All players gather in a circle. They (carefully!) pass around a bottle of alcohol of their choice to the beat of the music. When the host stops the music, the player holding the bottle must take a shot. It’s an adult twist on ‘Hot Potato.’ Limit the shots to 2 per person; and remember to drink responsibly and never drink and drive!

8. Impostor Game*

  •  Number of players: 3 or more
  •  You need: water, vodka, one shot glass (or cup) per player

This fun game is all about guessing who the impostor is. Each player should have a shot glass or cup. The host will fill all the shot glasses with water, except for one, which will contain vodka. The glasses are then handed out to each player. Players take turns drinking from their shot glasses, pretending (or not!) that they are drinking water. After everyone has taken their turn, each player guesses who the vodka-drinking impostor is. Players who guess incorrectly will face a punishment. If everyone guesses correctly, the impostor must take the punishment. Limit the shots to 2 per person; and remember to drink responsibly and never drink and drive!

9. Shout The Word

  •  Number of players: 4 or more, even number
  •  You need: similar words, bucket

Print or write down words that have very similar phonetic sounds, such as ‘pair’ and ‘pear’. (We’ve got a list of similar words for you right here). Make sure to have each word printed or written down twice. Place all the words in a bucket. Each player will draw one word and look at it without showing it to anyone else. When the game starts, players must shout out their word and try to find the player with the matching word. The rules are simple, but the chaos that ensues from shouting out words to find a match is sure to be fun!

10. 2 Truths 1 Lie

  •  Number of players:or more

A fun game that requires no previous planning. Each person comes up with two true statements and one false statement about themselves or someone close to them. They share these three facts with the other players, who then try to guess which statement is the lie. Make the game more challenging by sharing your most outrageous life stories or facts!
